Macleay Valley Coast Holiday Parks understand that your pooches are a part of the family, and we welcome them whenever we can. Your four-legged friends are welcome on selected powered and unpowered campsites, block out dates apply and a maximum of 1 dog is allowed per site.
Currently, dogs are only allowed on sites and during low and mid-season (excluding school holidays). Note, Crescent Head, Horseshoe Bay, Grassy Head & Hat Head allow dogs during winter school holidays. Dogs must be approved at the time of reservation. Upon check in, the pet policy and waiver must be signed by the registered guest.
To ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests, including those with and without dogs, we have established the following pet policy:
Allowed pets: We welcome well-behaved dogs at our holiday parks, it is at the discretion of the Park Management to determine allowed breeds. Please note that only domesticated animals are permitted. The dog permitted on sites at any one time shall not exceed/differ from the details declared on the booking and acknowledgment form. Management reserves the right to terminate the guest’s occupancy due to any breach of the rules outlined throughout this policy.
Local and State Regulations and Laws: Maclay Valley Coast Holiday Parks is governed by New South Wales laws and local council regulations regarding companion animals. Dangerous or aggressive dogs are not permitted in the park.
Number of dogs: Each approved site is allowed a maximum of one dog.
Leash rule: For the safety of everyone, dogs must be always kept on a leash while outside the accommodation or designated dog areas. The length of the leash should not be long enough to reach the road, if restrained on your site.
Dog waste disposal: It is the responsibility of dog owners to clean up after their dogs. Please use the provided waste disposal stations throughout the park.
Vaccinations and health: All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations and in good health. Guests may be required to provide proof of vaccinations upon request.
Dog behaviour: Dog owners are responsible for ensuring that their dogs behave in a manner that does not disturb other guests. Aggressive or excessively noisy dogs may need to be removed from the premises as requested.
Noise control: To maintain a peaceful environment, please keep your dogs from creating excessive noise that could disturb other guests.
Public area access: Dogs are not allowed in communal facilities, including swimming pools, campground kitchens, playgrounds, ablution blocks and laundry for hygiene and safety reasons.
Laundry use: Dogs are not allowed within the laundry facilities, including the use of washers and dryers to wash dog bedding. Laundry sinks and tubs are not to be used for washing dogs.
Dog supervision: Dogs should not be left unattended in accommodations, vehicles or on sites. They may become anxious or distressed in unfamiliar surroundings and create disturbances to other guests. In instances that dogs are left unattended, you will be asked to immediately return to your site.
Liability: Dog owners are responsible for any damages caused by their dogs to park property or other guests’ property. You are liable for and will indemnify Macleay Valley Coast Holiday Parks/Australian Tourist Park Management against all loss and damage (including without limitation property damage and personal injury) directly or indirectly arising out of or related in any way to the conduct, acts and omissions of your dog. Macleay Valley Coast Holiday Parks reserves the right to apply all fees and expenses associated with any such loss and damage to your account.
Agreement and acknowledgment: By bringing your dog to Macleay Valley Holiday Parks, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our pet policy. You agree to comply with all rules and regulations stated herein. You fully and finally release Macleay Valley Coast Holiday Parks from any liabilities, claims, demands, suits, actions, rights, entitlements, costs or expenses that you may have or incur directly or indirectly arising out of or related in any way to your dog.
